Survival of the fittest....

I wanted to know where my limits are...

Now I know!

It is 60 km of biking.... in one day.

But we had a lot of fun.

From Amsterdam to Krommenie and back. Pfew.

And I am a material girl... ♫♫

What can I tell....

I can tell the medical side...

Still 4 kinds of chemo's on the treatment list.

First two are Taxol and Xeloda

I can choose Taxol (1 day a week through an infuse, again boldness, ill etc)

Or Xeloda ( 6 pills a day, keeping my hair, less side effects)

I choose Xeloda for now!

And if it doesn't work or stops working in half a year, 8 months or 2 years.... We go on to the next chemo....

My physical side.....

The information gives me peace of mind

But I will always have hope for health and happiness

Happy! Today with the two bracelets I got from my big sister & family.

Who ever said that things doesn't make you happy...

Yesterday the liver echo and today the bone scan.

Again somebody sticking needles in my body. This time a nucleair injection.

I don't want anymore needles poking in me!!!!!!

Tomorrow the results and a plan for treatment...

I was on this train before? Wasn't I?

pfff....

Just back from hockey: selection training for Kik.

And did square feet gardening with Kikki afterwards.

On an afternoon that I heard that the tumors are back.

I had so much pain monday morning that I went to the hospital. 

They did a scan right away and we heard the news at the end of the morning. 

The one tumor grew again and I have two new tumors.

So Olaparib stopped doing what it was supposed to do.

Disappointment!

Today and tomorrow some more tests.

Thursday the results and the news from Dr. Linn what kind of treatment I will get.

Again chemo...

Delicate as magnolias, but tough as steel :-)

My mom made me a quilt!!! 

Not the first one for me, but definitely one of the most beautiful.

In a so called "One Block Wonder" technique.

The title of this quilt is "Steel Magnolia".

Wonder, I need

Steel, because mom thinks I'm strong

Magnolia, one of my favourite flowers (and the flower in the quilt's fabric)

repeat...

Because the rhubarb pie was so nice...

I baked him today for Doreen and Pieter.

State of mind...

Scan is coming up. Not my finest moment.

The euphoria of the last scan faded away. Fear came back.

I hate these downers. I only want to become more healthy, to have more energie!

This puts me back. It's freezing me.

Next week my next scan and thursday the 24th results.

We are enjoying the simple life of Zeeland. I baked a rhubarb crumble.

How proud can a mom be? 

Wednesday was the match of the year: 

Ajax officially became champion of the Dutch league and Mees was part of it! 

He accompanied the linesman at the beginning of the game in front of a roaring crowd in the Arena. 

A boy's dream and a mom's dream too.

Blood test, check-up, 4th pill cure

Cab ride home.
